Beef brisket, about 6-8 lbs
3 TBSP garlic powder
3 TBSP onion powder
3 TBSP celery salt
3 TBSP paprika
½ to ¾ cup liquid smoke
¼ to ½ cup worcestershire sauce
1 cup favorite BBQ sauce
Mix spices together and use as a rub to work into both sides of the brisket.
Place brisket in large glass baking dish, so it lays flat.
Next, mix liquid smoke and worcestershire sauce and pour alongside of brisket in baking dish. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and refrigerate overnight.
Remove from refrigerator about an hour before cooking. Then slow cook for 5 hours at 275F. Uncover after hour 5 and spread bbq sauce over brisket. Cook for additional hour, uncovered. Remove from oven and let sit about 15-30mins. Proceed to cut into desired thickness.
*This smoked brisket also makes a really incredible sandwich once cooled.*
